I feel it has been ages since I last posted when really it's only been a few weeks. I feel like we are still moving, but things are getting more settled. Andy helped me hang a few things yesterday which helped. I'm realizing that I have far too many little knick-knacks! Our old place had so many little funny shelves and cubbies as well as a big mantel that it didn't seem like so much there, but now I'm feeling a little cluttered.
I am still recovering from the move. The day after we were out of there I developed a terrible cough and with all the mold and other filth that was stirred up my doctor prescribed some pretty heavy duty antibiotics. I also am still trying to process the whole move. The living conditions there had really become indecent and I am struggling with how we stayed there as long as we did. Things were not that way when we moved in and I think we just became acclimated and accepted that this is just how things were. We didn't feel like we had the means to just up and leave which is why this whole move still just amazes me. We needed to get out of that house and that same week we found out about this place and here we are.
I don't have any pictures yet because our camera was acting up (just turned out to be bad batteries) and Andy had to totally rebuild the computer after we moved and I don't know how to access the picture files right now. I'm lucky I was able to find my way here.
I will post pictures as soon as I am able.

Congratulations on your new place! Glad to hear that you are feeling better and the move is officially under your belt.
I'm SO HAPPY you have a better place to live and feeling better. I hope the antibiotics killed ALL the bad germs! I, too, am slowly getting acclimated. Today I totally vegged out. Tomorrow is another day!
Yeah! back to the blogging world! We'll be down over the long holiday so hopefully I can see the place! maybe even a playdate/tea party!? :-) We're very excited for you!
I hear you on the clutter! I'm so glad you're in a better situation now. Welcome back! I'm way behind, too...
It's amazing how easily we get use to certain conditions until it changes, isn't it? We did the same with our old, moldy, falling apart mobile home (i even had to get rid of mushrooms growing in the utility room from a leak in the roof!!). I'm glad you are in a better place and healthy(?). Hope the antibiotics help! Enjoy your last week off with your family and see you and your mom (YEAH!!!) next week! Karen
