"Mom? I want a snack." You do? What would you like?
"uuhm, I think a marshmallow would be good. A few marshmallows in a bowl."
"I think a chocolate coin would be a good snack maybe."
" I think chocolate fudge would be a tasty treat."
"How about some marshmallows in a bowl?(putting her face 1/2 an inch from mine) COME ON, LETS GO AND GET A SNACK!"
I happened to be sitting at the computer when Evelyn came to me with these ideas, and so I literally transcribed them as she said them. These ideas came in rapid succession (partly because I was typing and not responding as she would like), one after the other and all I could do was smile and laugh out loud. She is so my daughter and I see now that I have passed on my sweet tooth in full. We're off to find some more reasonable snack options, it might not be pretty.

Driving Evelyn home after a gramma day:
E: Gramma, aren't you forgetting to pack me a snack?
Me: How about a cheese stick?
E: How 'bout a bag of marshmallows?
The marshmallow comment makes me laugh... check out my blog when you get a chance to explain :-)
I love how when shes over she asks us for TOASTED marshmellows ;)
She totally dug those walnut stuffed dates, that might make a "healthier" sweet snack...
