Blog #2 for the day..... yeah, yeah, yeah no bloggin problem here :)
We had what could be described as the perfect afternoon at the park today. We took Evelyn and Scout down to our neighborhood park and found that the trees had dropped their first load of perfectly crisp, brightly colored leaves and they were nice and dry because it hasn't rained yet.
Hurray!
There were a ton of kids playing and were all excited about all the leaves. The only strange thing about it was Andy and I were the only adults around, I think all the other parents were sitting way off to the side at the picnic tables... and figured if at least one perfectly strange adult is around to supervise that's good enough for them. Wierd-but at least all the kids were really nice and looked out for Evelyn. Evelyn helped build a huge pile of leaves with the big kids and they all jumped in it, rolled in it, buried each other and tossed them up in a leaf storm. And they did this for over an hour. Evelyn had a blast and I think this has made up for the utter lack of snow in our front yard... for now.
Here's a VIDEO clip of Evelyn jumping in and then saying, "Whoa! What was that?"

Have you ever noticed that Evelyn sound a bit like Vinnie Bobarino from welcome back Cotter? Too cute!
